Updates to Youth Plant Sale

Get your form here:  Plant-Order-2020

Dear Parents & Youth:
Many of you are wondering if the Spring Plant Sale is still happening.  The answer is yes but it will be a little different than we have done it in years past.  Please read carefully below.

First, turn in order forms and checks beginning Thursday, March 19th – Sunday, March 22nd at the following locations:

Knight Residence (Max and Kay)

4227 Spruce Ln.

Martinez, Ga 30907

(706) 231 – 3304

Showman Residence (Chris and Tracy)

803 Carriage Ct.

Augusta, Ga 30909

(706) 951 – 8640

Due to social distancing concerns, you will place your completed order forms and payments in the plastic bins located at their front doors.  Call of text them if you desire to let them know you have done so.  They will retrieve them once you have left or when they return home.

Second, plant sale distribution will occur on Saturday, March 28th from 12 noon – 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Parking Lot next to the children’s playground.  We need for all students and parents to contact the individuals who have purchased plants from them to let them know of these details.  Do not assume that they will know on their own.

Here’s how it will work…

  • We will load cars under the covered drop off area per their orders.  Cars will pull up.  We will load per their order form.  Cars will leave.  Drivers are discouraged from exiting cars.
  • We will do so with a light skeleton crew.  In other words, don’t show up to help unless you’ve been asked to do so.
  • Most importantly, given that many of those who purchased from you may be senior citizens and do not need to get out now to retrieve plants, please prayerfully consider delivering all of your plant orders yourself as a ministry to them and others.  It will mean a great deal to them and may also be easier on you overall because students and their parents will have to deliver all remaining plants at the conclusion of distribution day as we cannot enter FBC buildings to store plants.  Thank you for understanding.

This is a different system due to different circumstances that are beyond anyone’s control.  I thank you in advance for your willingness to adjust.  Continue to sale these plants as students receive great individual benefit to their student ministry accounts.

Should you have questions regarding the above, please direct them to Kaye at the cell phone number listed in the body of the email.
