The Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir is a non-auditioned group of singers who lead in worship each Sunday morning in our Traditional Service. Each week this talented and dedicated ensemble glorifies God and proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. The Choir annually presents a Christmas Concert, “Christmas at First Baptist,” which has become a signature event offered to the community benefiting local charities. The choir also offers a variety of special worship and themed program events throughout the year. Orchestra
The First Baptist Church Orchestra is an auditioned instrumental ensemble open to high school age and adults. The orchestra performs occasionally in worship, accompanying the Sanctuary Choir, and presents a variety of music for special events. This group is led by Ryan Heritage and rehearses when needed. Handbells
This adult handbell ensemble is a fun and talented group of musicians and is open to all adults who have music reading experience and would enjoy learning how to play bells. This group leads in worship regularly and plays for special events throughout the year. Youth Music Ministry
Youth Choir
The First Baptist Youth Choir is a non-auditioned group for all students grade 6-12. This group occasionally sings in worship and during Christmas season in the Traditional Worship Service and other special events throughout the year. We go on a winter retreat, participate in the local Youth Choir Festival, and finish the school year with a mission trip filled with singing, mission work, a fun destination and a fun day outing! Preschool & Children’s Music Ministry
Preschool and Children’s Choirs – M3
This program is a fun break in the middle of the week for our preschoolers and elementary aged children. A group of dedicated adults lead our children in faith skills, including missions and more, that help children understand how faith aligns with everyday life. Additionally, our children have an opportunity to experience God through scripturally based music.

Senior Adult Choir
First Family Singers
The primary purpose of this non-auditioned, committed ensemble of senior adult singers is to minister to our community by singing at area nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and retirement centers approximately three times a month. This group is led by Ryan Heritage and meets at 9:30 am Thursdays in the Choir Suite in the Daniel Building, 3rd floor. rheritage@fbcaugusta.org
