Attention all First Baptist “Sewers,” there is a growing need in our community for face masks at healthcare locations. If you have some scraps at home and have free time (which we’re pretty sure you do) nursing homes, hospitals, doctor offices and more are low or out of supply and they could use your help. Watch this easy DIY instructional video made by Ryan Heritage’s stepmother on how you can “Be the hands of Jesus, serving in His stead,” by making a cloth face mask that can be washed and used time and time again. Attached is a design for the materials needed and detailed instructions. You can substitute the elastic with longer cloth on the side that are doubled over and sewed. Make sure to take a picture when you drop off some and send it to us! “
