The Education and Scholarship Committee invites eligible students to apply for the following scholarships:

Kennedy Scholarship:

  1. Must be a member of FBC who has actively participated in church programs.
  2. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or have a 3.0 GPA graduating from high school.
  3. Must be accepted into an accredited college/university or other institute of higher learning and must be enrolled in a degree granting program.
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Applicant must be HOPE Scholarship eligible except for the GA residency requirement.
  6. First time applicants must have a completed reference form submitted by June 30, 2021.
  7. All applicants should submit essay and grades by June 30, 2021.  To be considered an official transcript it must be in the original, sealed envelope or an e-transcript must be emailed from the school to KRose@fbcaugusta.org.
  8. Application must be completed and submitted to the committee by June 30, 2021.

FBC Kennedy Scholarship Application 2021-22

Sacred Music Scholarship:

  1. Must be a member of FBC for two years as of the application deadline who has actively participated in church programs.
  2. Must maintain a cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or have a 2.5 GPA graduating from high school.
  3. Must be accepted into an accredited college/university or other institute of higher learning and must be enrolled in a degree granting program.
  4. Must maintain full-time student status.
  5. Must have demonstrated musical talent.
  6. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in sacred music.
  7. Award is for fall semester only.
  8. Application packet must be completed and submitted to the committee by June 30, 2021, including reference form, schedule, essay, and official transcript.  To be considered an official transcript it must be in the original, sealed envelope or an e-transcript must be emailed from the school to KRose@fbcaugusta.org.

FBC Sacred Music Scholarship Application

Theological Education Scholarship:

  1. Must be a member of FBC for a minimum of three years as of application date and prior to submission of application.
  2. Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
  3. Must be accepted into an accredited program.
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Applicant may receive aid for a maximum of 8 semesters for a master’s degree and 6 semesters for a doctorate degree.
  6. Must be able to show intent for full-time Christian service by making a public statement in a Sunday worship service.
  7. Application must be completed and submitted to the committee by June 30, 2021, including two recommendation letters, schedule, and essay.
