It is my pleasure to announce our next Director of Weekday Education is Martha Kate Hall. In the note below, Martha Kate has provided a word of introduction. As you can see, she has a wonderful history among our church family. As a result, Martha Kate brings an understanding of the value of this church and our ministry through weekday education. She will officially begin her duties with us on June 1. Carla and I look forward to working with her as she transitions in June.
With Joy and Thankfulness,
Melissa
From Martha Kate–
“FBC Augusta is the church I have always called home. FBC is the church in which my parents, George and Julie Berry, dedicated me as an infant and where I was baptized as a young girl. The FBC Weekday Program is the place where I attended preschool, where my mom served as a teacher for 17 years and where daughter Melody, now nine years old, attended Mother’s Day Out. FBC is also the church who acknowledged my call to ministry and later ordained me to the gospel ministry after I completed my Master of Divinity in Christian Education at Truett Seminary. I am excited to utilize the skills and experience gained over the last six years in Macon where I served as the Associate Coordinator for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia along with over six years in children’s and music ministry. This is the church where my husband Jason and I were married just as my parents and grandparents were. I look forward to the ways our four-year-old daughter Julianna along with our entire family will continue to grow and be nurtured by this family of faith.”
