Dear Church,

As the leaves finally begin to turn and the air cools, our hearts naturally bend toward gratitude. I’m excited to invite you to our annual church-wide Thanksgiving Meal on Sunday, November 23, at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This evening is one of my favorite things we do together each year—laughing around tables, sharing stories of God’s faithfulness, and remembering that every good gift comes from the Lord.

We’ll have an incredible meal ready for you, along with plenty of time to reconnect with friends and meet someone new. Whether you’ve been here for decades or this is your first fall at First Baptist, you belong at this table. Bring your whole household—kids, grandparents, neighbors—and come just as you are. If you’re new, this is a perfect moment to step in and feel the joy of our church family.

During the evening we’ll pause to give thanks, hear a brief word of encouragement, and share communion together as we enter the holiday season. In a world moving a little too fast, we want to make space to breathe, to smile, and to say together, “Thanks be to God.”

To help us set enough places, please mark your calendars and RSVP with the church office. There is no cost for the meal, all we ask is that you let us know you are coming! Plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can get everyone seated. If you’d like to lend a hand with greeting or cleanup, we’d love your help—just let the church office know this week.
