Welcome through our Open Doors

We realize our campus is large, so we want to do everything we can to make your visit with us go smoothly. As you enter our campus on a Sunday morning, all you have to do is flash your headlights and a greeter will guide you to the right parking area and will escort you to the proper building.

If you are arriving for our contemporary worship at 8:45AM you will go to the Storey Chapel in the same building as our fellowship hall across from our sanctuary.  Greeters will be there to assist you!

Our traditional service begins at 11:00AM in the sanctuary.

For our 9:00 AM contemporary worship service, park outside the Missions Activities Center. For Bible study at the 10:00 AM hour, park near the main entrance to the Church Offices. And for the 11:00 AM traditional worship service, park in the designated guest spots by the main sanctuary.

By parking in these locations, the nearest entrance will be staffed with a greeter who can answer questions and give directions.

Birth – 5 year olds:

When you arrive on campus head directly to the Preschool Building using the entrance under the covered walkway. The hostess will then guide families to the appropriate room based on the child’s birth date.

Preschool families will be helped as they enter their information at one of the security kiosks in the hallway in the preschool building. Parents will provide all important information, including name, birth date, address, emergency contact cellphone numbers, allergies and special instructions for their children. The kiosk will print a security tag for each child, his/her bag and a matching security ID number for the parents to present at pick-up. Specific instructions can be provided on the form at each classroom door as needed. Please notify teachers each week of any allergies or critical special instructions.

Please bring your security ID tag to pick up your child from the preschool building after the service and/or Sunday School.

K – 5th Grade:

Elementary School children should be dropped off in Children’s Worship by entering on the Courtyard Side of the Children’s Building. Children will be guided to our children’s Worship Theater to experience worship together with other children. They can be picked up after the service and Sunday School from the same location.

We hope you feel comfortable at First Baptist Church of Augusta. Those who attend our contemporary worship tend to dress more casual, which includes jeans. Those who attend our traditional worship dress more dressy casual. Regardless of the service you attend, you will see a wide range of attire.
