Dear Friends,

It is so exciting to be following and serving Jesus here at FBC Augusta. Each week I am amazed at the opportunities God provides for us to reach and love our community and world. As the Minister to Children it is extra special to be able to see our children learning and growing in their relationship with Jesus and each other each week. We have so many great things that are going on here at FBC Augusta that help us to live into our vision of “Connecting people with Jesus and our faith community”.

Our children have embarked on a Mission Action project to help support Project Refresh. We are collecting items for “comfort bags” to be given to each of our neighbors who will be impacted by this new ministry. If you are in and around the preschool and children’s buildings you will see white baskets with the list of items we are collecting. We welcome you join us in this collection.

We also have a big event coming up that could really impact our vision. You have the opportunity to invite your neighbors, friends, and family members who do not attend church regularly to get to know FBC Augusta through our Outdoor Family Movie Night on October 22nd. This is a great way to help people who may be reluctant to show up on a Sunday morning to get to know us in a more informal way. We will be having a trivia contest, Super Hero costume contest, and watching The Incredibles. Take a moment to write down a few neighbors or friends names that you might be able to invite. Bring your picnic dinner and chairs and plan to have a blast on Friday Oct. 22, 2021. This coming Sunday we will have postcards available for you to hand out to your friends to help with the invitation. It is a joy and privilege to be a part of this church family. I want our community to know how welcome they are here at FBC Augusta.

With Joy,
