I have some wonderful news to share with you. Last night, the Deacon Body met (digitally, of course) and affirmed the plan developed by the COVID-19 response team for reengaging in in-person worship. As I mentioned on Sunday, our tentative schedule is to begin on June, 14. There will be three opportunities for you to join us in worship at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00. If you will click on the link below, you can read in much greater detail about the plans we will have in place as we approach that Sunday.
As your pastor, I know that some of us are still not quite comfortable being back in large group gathering. If you find yourself in that category, please do not worry. I want you to know that we will still be live streaming our worship services for both our contemporary and traditional worship. It will continue to be the high-quality experience that you have come to expect from FBC Augusta over the past two months. So, whether you are on our campus or in the comfort of your own home, you will still be able to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
These past few months have been trying times for all of us. I am proud of the way our church has responded to the pandemic. Our worship on Sunday morning has been excellent, but our service to the community has been even better! Friends, the next few months are going to present us with many challenges as we seek to find a “new normal”, but as I have preached in our most recent sermon series, God is always leading us to something better and brighter than we could ever imagine.
Grace and Peace,
