This Sunday is the greatest day of our year! Easter is the reason we exist as a people, because if Jesus conquered death, then anything is possible! Over the past few days I have spent time thinking about how grateful that this year, we will be able to gather together on Easter Sunday! We know that Sunday is going to be a big day, so we are putting all of our energy into our Resurrection day celebrations. We want to make sure that anyone who steps foot on our campus has an incredible Easter experience. I want to take a minute and remind you of our Easter schedule.

9:00 – Worship on the Lawn

10:00 – Contemporary Worship in the Mac

11:00- Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary

There is no registration required for Sunday and we will observe social distancing guidelines for our indoor services. I do have a request for many of you. If you are able, would you consider attending our outdoor service at 9:00? The weather looks perfect and this service also has unlimited seating capacity! Many of you will want to attend at 10:00 or 11:00 and I am excited to see you. I want to urge you to arrive to those worship services at least fifteen minutes early, just to be sure you get a great seat!

In this edition of the Digital Interpreter, you will also learn more about what we are doing for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday this year. I hope will make plans to worship with us digitally on Maundy Thursday as we take communion together. Then on Good Friday, I hope you will take a few minutes to come to the Storey Chapel and take part in our guided prayer reflections.

Sunday is going to be a great day at the First Baptist Church of Augusta! I am so proud to be your pastor. I can’t wait to greet you on Sunday with that most amazing good news, “He is Risen”!

Grace and Peace,
