Dear Church,

If you are reading this digital edition of the Interpreter then I can safely assume that you are, at least somewhat, tech savvy. You should have received an email we sent earlier this week about your experience of “doing church” virtually. It is a short survey that will not take you more than ten minutes. If you haven’t done so already, please take a few minutes over the next couple of days and fill out that survey, as it will be incredibly helpful to us as we continue to think about how we can best achieve our vision of connecting people to Jesus Christ and this community of faith.

As I talked about on Sunday, we are beginning to think about what it will look like to be the church as we emerge on the other side of the pandemic. The one thing we know for sure is that life will not be returning to “normal”, in a pre-pandemic sense, any time soon. As a result of these changes, our church is asking questions about how to best continue using our resources to further the mission of our church, which as I have already noted, is to connect people to Jesus Christ and this community of faith. We are hoping to find the best way to do that through both digital and in-person community. So again, if you haven’t taken the survey, please do so ASAP. Also, if you would send this survey to your friends who attend FBC, that would be a huge help as well! I am including a link so all you need to do it click!

I hope that you will make plans to be with us on Sunday as we continue our look through the first ten chapters of the Book of Acts. If you missed the first part of our series, I encourage you to go back and watch online at or you can listen through our podcast on Anchor or Apple podcast

These are exciting times at the First Baptist Church. I am so glad to be your pastor.

Grace and Peace,
